And Let There Be Two Weeks…

Hello World Wide Readers,

It’s the Saturday before Christmas.  I have been on our two week winter break since Thursday. It’s been awesome.  Ben is still working, he volunteered to be a team lead at his work. They haven’t made any final decisions yet but it will give him some good experience if the job ever opens up at the shop. I am excited he is taking this opportunity. Ben and I are going through all of our books like we do every year and prepping to give them to half price books.  We review all the books in our collections and decide to get rid of the ones we no longer are interested in or we have read and do not want to read again.  We then take them to half price books so they can be purchased by other book lovers. This year I am going to have more books than normal but it is going to free up some book shelf space for more books for me to get that I have been wanting.

Ben and I are going to be celebrating Christmas together and then going to my parents for Christmas dinner.  Mom is doing turkey and ham this year. Dad is feeling better since he caught COVID again. He went back to work yesterday. It is the nature with his job that he might catch it. I am glad he is alright though. The reason we celebrate Christmas in the evening is so my parents can talk to my sisters children in Germany.  They do this whole event via facetime. My parents get to watch the children open up gifts and talk with them. Ben and I don’t want to disturb that time so we will celebrate and then go over later for dinner.

We are supposed to be getting some rain soon but I am not sure if that is going to be the case.  While going through books I was able to find my sherpa jacket that I originally thought I had lost.  So I am really excited to have it since it is going to be in the 50s on Christmas day. I have already completed all of my Christmas shopping.  I finished it on Thursday.  It was nice to have it completed. I am excited for everyone to get their gifts.  I think they will really enjoy them.

Anyway, we wish you all a very merry Christmas.  Stay warm, enjoy the season, and all the wonderful treats.

We will see you all next weekend.
