Podcasts Started, Ben’s Gardening, And Our Lives

Hello World Boring Normal Life Readers,

We hope your had an amazing week. We have had a busy week this week, making sure the germinated peas stayed safe in the dirt.  The squirls, birds, and lizards have been desperate to get their paws and claws on them. If we could communicate with these animals and ask for them to please stop we would. We are sure they would probably ask for help if they could. Many view asking for help as a sign of weakness.  Ben and I view it as a sign of strength.  It take a lot of bravery and resilience for someone to first admit they need help and then second finding someone to assist them.  This is why we have always helped those that have asked for it.  We may not always have the resources to solve the problem or even know how to begin, but we work with others to help get others onto a new and better path.   Asking for assistance or help is one of the bravest things you can do, so if you need help make sure you find someone and ask.  I really wish the animals could, that way I would not have to constantly looking over my garden. But other than that, we have had a great week so lets go into more detail of what we have done.

Podcast

So we have started our Positive Thoughts Podcast.  Its currently on Spotify if you want to check it out.  Ben and I talk about what I will be covering in the podcast because he is part of the team that helps make this all happen.  We enjoy being positive and sharing advice and ideas with others. So we hope you enjoy it.  We will be doing the podcast once a week in the beginning and once we get a structure more formalized we may bump it up to two.  We are planning for each podcast to be between 20 and 25 minutes.  Something you can listen to on your way to work or school. We are really excited about what we think this podcast can do for others. So we hope you enjoy and please send us your thoughts.

Gardening

Ben has decided to work on the potatoes next. So we are going to take a couple of potatoes out and put them in some cups and let the eyes grow a little stronger and then put them in some dirt.  We are figuring that will take about a week or two.  We are hoping for some potatoes this year since last year we lost all of them. So we are going to begin working on the potatoes today.  I am hoping to get some plants to put in my office since I have a large window that lets in sunlight.  I am thinking about finding some seeds and growing them instead of just getting a plant already.  I have found the biggest joy seeing seeds germinate into plants.  So I am thinking my coworkers will enjoy it as well.

Work and Lives

Work at the college is going well.  We had a fajita lunch on Thursday and grazed on leftovers all day on Friday.  We are going to be serving students on Monday with sausage wraps so I am really looking forward to doing that.  The weather is supposed to be cool and we will be right on the lake.  It’s going to be a blast. We are then off this coming Friday for Fiesta so its going to be a short week.  Ben unfortunately is not going to be off on Friday.  While he is at work, I am probably get some more of the house organized and cleaned up.  He is going to have a busy week this week but nothing we can not handle.  I have been helping Ben in the mornings by taking care of the puppies so he can leave earlier which has helped a lot.  He has really appreciated that.  The puppies have enjoyed it as well.  They get more outside time before I leave for work.

Anyway, we hope you are all doing well.  We love you all and send virtual hugs to you this week. Stay safe.

Hugs,

M & B
