Value of Stability in an Unstable World

Hello World Wide Readers,

Ben and I are so excited your back this week to check out how our lives are going.  This are going great.  Ben did the nicest thing for me this past weekend.  He drove around to all the local yarn stores for me to visit them and pick up yarn since it was Local Yarn Store Day.  We had a really good time.  After that, we went and traded my car in for a new car.  We decided it would be best to get a new one to save money on gas and because loan rates possibly going up.  We found this to be an excellent time to do this. Ben hates car dealerships so to have him be there and support me was awesome.

I was reaffirmed this weekend how lucky I am to have Ben be my best friend. He looks after me just like I look after him.  We work together to make sound decisions as a couple to do what is best for our family. He has really been helpful in preparing us for the future that is still very uncertain which I can really appreciate.  He also has been great at helping my parents with various tasks around their house.  Talking about round the house, our sunflower in the back finally bloomed. I was so excited.  Once it is over, we are planning on collecting the seeds from it and planting them in the front yard.  I am just so excited because I love sunflowers.

Our Myer lemon tree has some lemons starting on it already which is great.  We love getting lemons from the tree.  This will be our second year collecting lemons from this tree. The weather has been warming up here.  So we have the fans going.  I try to keep the door open as much as I can so the dogs can run around in the porch area.  I have been doing really well at the gym.  Mom and I are working around her work schedule at the gym and going when we can.  She is so positive and excited to have me go with her.

Anyway, other than that, nothing much is going on here.  I have been knitting, laundry, and cooking.  I developed a new soup the other night.  I took some ground beef and added taco seasoning to it.  Then added some water, butter and rice.  It was really good and spicy.  Ben really enjoyed it.  Anyway, I hope everyone stays safe especially with the spring storms that are happening.  We had hail the other night.  Nothing damaging it was smaller than a pea but I know some areas are getting it a lot worse.

Stay safe and we will see you next week.
