Happy Birthday Xander!!!!

Dear Xander,

Happy Birthday!  Today you enter into a phase of life that can be challenging and positive.  I am so excited you have become a teenager. Your dad and I have planned Saturday to celebrate your birthday.  If you ever get to see this or read it I hope you will get to read my blog tomorrow to see all that we did.  I made sure to send you a shout out on twitter for your birthday. I know you always wanted that.  It is amazing now that you are thirteen you can now access Facebook and a myriad of other website for connecting with others in the world. Please be cautious when doing that.  Not everyone is who they appear to be online.  Your dad and I worry about your safety as you adventure on into manhood.

Tonight your dad and I are going to be eating at this place called the Smashing Crab. We also are going to be going to watch the My Little Pony Movie since we know you and your sister would love to go see it. Today I completed my Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification. So after some time passes I am going to work on my Green Belt certification. Basically the belts are for process improvement certification.  I found a snack I think you and Tori would love called Reese’s Snack Mix. It has peanut butter cups, peanuts, pretzels and Reese’s Pieces in it.  I been snacking on mine all day.

Have you watched anything on YouTube lately?  I know that was one of your favorite things to do and to play me movies while I was driving us somewhere.  You always watched YouTube to help you get through the stressful times.  I am sure this is no different.  I been thinking about getting a Nintendo DS2 so I can play Pokémon. Your dad and I had to get rid of yours because it was busted. Barney is doing well and he probably will be coming with me and your dad tomorrow for your birthday celebration.

Anyway, I know you are heading towards the end of your first quarter of school.  I am sure you are doing passing everything now that you have a stable life again.  I am sorry your dad and I could not have made the results of your parents’ divorce differently. Your dad sees a lot of potential in you.  He wants you to remember that when things are tough. I hope you still want to become a chef.  I would love to be able to see you on TV when I get older with your own cooking show. I hope you have an amazing birthday and your dad and I love you and your sister more than words can say. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! We love you.

Hugs and Kisses,

M
